The profile of study program graduates is formulated with professional roles and a series of competencies (learning outcomes) that graduates must have to carry out these roles in a professional, accountable, manner, have the knowledge, skills, independence, and attitudes to find, develop, and apply the science, technology, and art that are beneficial to humanity (PP No. 19 Year 2005 article 26 paragraph 4). Based on the studies conducted, the study program determines the profile of graduates. The Biology Study Program consists of 3 graduate profiles.

Scientist: Graduates who are able to design and conduct research supervised by senior researchers in the field of biology, and to apply theory, materials, methodology, Islamic ethical frameworks, and relevant research procedures in a professional and objective manner.

Professional: Graduates who can apply the principles of biology and related fields,as well as master laboratory/field skills in the field of biology professionally. Graduates who can design programs based on their mastery of concepts and skills in the field of biology for biodiversity and conservation based on local wisdom as an expression of their concern for biodiversity sustainability. Graduates who can effectively present their understanding of principles, basic concepts, and theories in biology and related fields. Graduates who can conduct testing to verify the halal status of production processes and products based on the principles of Islamic law and halal assurance system with integrity and full responsibility.
