Biological Professionalism Training: Hydroponics

The Biology Program once again organized the Biological Professionalism Training for students on June 18, 2021. This training, which was first held in 2020, is now in its second year. The sessions will continue until early November, taking place weekly. The theme for the first session of student professionalism training is Hydroponics. The guest speaker for this training is Sapto Prayitno from GoodPlant.id. The event commenced at 09:15 via Zoom. The program began with the MC, Zidni, announcing the agenda, followed by the Indonesian national anthem and the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta hymn. Dr. Fathorrahman, S.Ag, M.Si., the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, delivered a welcoming speech. He expressed the importance of continuing such activities, emphasizing that they benefit students by bridging theory learned in class with practical applications.

The main part of the event featured a presentation by Mr. Sapto Prayitno, S.Si., the owner of GoodPlant.id. GoodPlant.id is a company that sells products related to hydroponic systems, catering to both home-scale and industrial applications. During the session, the speaker explained hydroponic systems, the necessary materials for hydroponics, and practical implementation. He also demonstrated the equipment used in hydroponic systems, allowing students to observe the working mechanism. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session with participants. The event concluded around 11:30.
