Monitoring and Evaluation of the Biology Program Community Service (PkM) Roadmap

The monitoring and evaluation (monev) session for the Community Service (PkM) Roadmap was conducted by Dr. Djarot Heru Santosa, M. Hum. He provided insights into community engagement activities. The roadmap for community service is based on specific conditions and the varying roles of higher education institutions. Community service is assessed based on its impact on society. Community engagement and empowerment serve as pathways to understanding community needs (which inform research) and to promote technology transfer and research and development (with the caveat that communities are not experimental subjects). Collaboration between faculty members and the community is essential, and university-community engagement is a bridge within the three pillars of higher education.

The PkM roadmap includes the following stages: mentoring, Year 0: inspirational findings, Year 1: problem and potential mapping, Year 2: program and target establishment, Year 3: program implementation, and Year 4: institutionalization. The insights provided by the speaker regarding the Community Service Roadmap for the Biology Program offer a comprehensive perspective, enabling the Biology Program to revise its community service roadmap for even better outcomes.
