Yogyakarta - To develop student competencies related to laboratory skills, the Biology Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta held a guest lecture with the theme "Implementation of Natural Dyes for Coloring Preparations" in a series of Microtechnics and Natural Product courses. This activity was held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 08.00-11.30 WIB and was carried out directly at the Integrated Laboratory of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The participants of this training were Biology students who were members of the Microtechnics and Natural Product courses, with 40 students. This activity was opened by Mrs. Biology, Najda Rifqiyati, S. Si., M. Si. and accompanied by Mrs. Shilfiana Rahayu M.Sc. Presenting resource persons Mrs. Dewi Puspita Sari, S.Pd., M.Sc. from Sebelas Maret University Surakarta who are experts in the use of natural materials as natural dyes for both making animal preparations and making ecoprint batik. This activity was divided into two sessions, namely the material delivery session by the resource person, and continued with direct practice in making animal and plant tissue preparations using natural dyes by participants.
