Aulya Nidaur Rahmah: Exemplary Biology Student of 2019
Aulya Nidaur Rahmah was honored as one of the Outstanding Student Quality awardees at the university level, along with eight other students from various faculties at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The award ceremony took place during the Open Senate Meeting in celebration of UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s 68th anniversary, held at the Prof. Dr. H.M. Amin Abdullah Building on September 26, 2019. Aulya, born on March 1, 1999, is a Biology student from the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
From a young age, Aulya aspired to be a volunteer and explore the islands of Indonesia. She is affectionately known as “Nida” and is actively engaged in various activities both on and off campus. Even during her high school years, Nida was already involved in multiple organizations.
Her favorite activities revolve around social causes and nature. However, she remains open to exploring other areas, including education and soft skill development. Growing up in Yogyakarta, Nida has a deep love for children, education, nature, and culture. Currently, she is part of the Yogyakarta Mengajar organization and serves on the Sign Language Team at the Disability Services Center within UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Her experiences also led her to participate in Difafest in 2019 as a language translator.
Aligned with her academic program, Nida is an active member of the BIOLASKA study group. BIOLASKA engages in routine activities, such as the Raksaka Utara and Baladewa expeditions in 2019. Through BIOLASKA, Nida achieved third place in the Dragonfly Race during the National Dragonfly Jamboree in 2019.
Beyond competitions, Nida has represented UIN Sunan Kalijaga in various events. She was a delegate in the Kapal Pemuda Nusantara Sail Nias in 2019, a presenter at the International Conference of Science and Engineering in 2018, and a participant in the Indonesian Youth Dream Camp in 2017. Despite her extensive extracurricular involvement, Nida maintains an impressive GPA above 3.25. This demonstrates that true achievement goes beyond academic excellence—it also involves active participation in passion-driven activities, shaping a well-rounded individual with both IQ and emotional intelligence (SQ and EQ).
