What’s Up with the Thesis Clinic?

The Biology Program recently organized a scientific journal and thesis writing training from Monday, March 2, 2020, to Thursday, March 5, 2020, at the Integrated Laboratory of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The purpose of this activity was to enhance students’ insights and skills in scientific journal writing and thesis preparation. Final-year Biology students participated in the event. The program spanned four days: the first day included opening remarks, material presentations, discussions, and closing; the second day focused on journal writing assistance; the third day provided thesis writing support; and the fourth day featured presentations and closing remarks.

The theme of the training was tailored to meet the needs and interests of the students, with faculty members from the Biology Program serving as relevant speakers. The event proceeded smoothly, with enthusiastic student participation and productive discussions. Students acknowledged that this activity significantly aided their thesis writing process. It is hoped that such events will be regularly conducted, especially for final-year students, to assist them in thesis composition and quality research reference exploration.
