The general lecture series for the 2020/2021 academic year continued with the second phase on November 27, 2020, at 1:00 PM local time. The event commenced with an opening by MC Arini Mayang, followed by a recitation of sacred verses and a welcoming address from the head of the Biology program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Mrs. Najda Rifqiyati, M.Si. The general lecture spanned three hours.

In Session 1, Prof. Dr. Jatna Supriatna (from Universitas Indonesia) discussed climate change and the importance of sustainable conservation. This session lasted for 40 minutes, followed by a 20-minute discussion. Session 2 featured Dr. Destario Metusala, M.Sc., who elaborated on conservation messages related to plant diversity from ancient Java. His presentation also lasted 40 minutes, followed by another 20-minute discussion. The general lecture was moderated by Mr. Mokhamad Nur Zaman, S.Si., an alumnus of the Biology program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The event was attended by active biology students and faculty members from UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
