The Biology Program once again conducted Professionalism Training in Biology on October 16, 2021, at 09:00 via Zoom. This time, the event focused on “The Role of Public Speaking and Effective Communication in the Workplace,” featuring Alia Noor Anoviar, SE (Co-Founder of Career Class) as the speaker. She has been involved in the HRD field for approximately 9 years. Participants in this event included all active Biology students from UIN Suka, alumni, and external participants beyond UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The session began with the agenda overview presented by Nur Fiddayani, followed by the Indonesian national anthem and the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta hymn.

Next, there was an opening address by Ibu Najda Rifqiyati, M.Si, the Head of the Biology Program. In her speech, she expressed hope that this training could be an ongoing initiative and that the knowledge and skills gained would enhance students’ understanding. The main part of the event consisted of a presentation by Kak Alia Noor Anoviar, SE, moderated by Ibu Dwi Otik Kurniawati, M.Sc. The speaker covered topics such as exercises to enhance public speaking abilities, building self-confidence during communication, and effective communication tips in the workplace. Following the presentation, there was a discussion and Q&A session. The event concluded at 11:00.
