Seminar and Socialization on MBKM in the Context of MBKM Implementation by the Biology Program
The seminar and socialization event related to MBKM (Community Service Learning) was successfully conducted. The program coordinator emphasized the importance of this event. Through these activities, it is expected that positive relationships will be fostered among students, between different cohorts, and between students and faculty members. Additionally, the event included a presentation on MBKM socialization to equip students with the necessary knowledge for informed decision-making.
During the socialization session, participants gained an understanding of the MBKM program. The goal of MBKM is to enhance graduates’ competencies in both soft skills and hard skills, ensuring their readiness and relevance to the demands of the current era. The Kampus Merdeka (Independent Campus) learning approach provides opportunities for innovation, creativity, personal growth, and independence. MBKM participation is open to students from the 2020 and 2021 cohorts. Students can engage in MBKM activities outside the university, accumulating up to 40 credit hours, or within their program but outside their major, with a limit of 20 credit hours. MBKM activities encompass student exchange programs, internships, teaching assistance, research, humanitarian projects, entrepreneurship, independent projects, and community development.
