On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) conducted the signing of a cooperation agreement with Al Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. The event took place from 11:00 to 12:00 in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The proceedings began with an address by Dr. Hj. Khurul Wardati, the Dean. In her speech, the Dean expressed hope that this memorandum of understanding (MoU) would pave the way for other mutually beneficial activities aligned with the university’s three pillars (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi). The current MBKM scheme also facilitates collaboration between faculties and other institutions. Subsequently, the Head of Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School delivered a welcoming speech. During this address, the Head mentioned that the collaboration between the Biology Department and Al-Hikmah has been ongoing since 2018. However, the initiative to formalize a new MoU emerged in 2022. Al-Hikmah hopes that the signing of this cooperation agreement will lead to further joint activities that benefit both parties and align with the university’s mission. The next step involves the official signing of the MoU by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Head of Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School.
