Students from the Biology program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta conducted a field practicum in Artificial Insemination (AI) or “suntik kawin” for livestock. Divided into three groups, the students observed AI procedures at three different Animal Health Centers (Puskeswan) in Pajangan, Piyungan, and Sanden. During this activity, students had the opportunity to accompany professionals in conducting Pregnancy Diagnosis (PKb) and AI on livestock. The PKb and AI practices took place in livestock pens based on community requests. The goal of this practicum was to provide students with firsthand experience in observing AI procedures in cattle.
