The Botany Study Group (KS Botani) organized a Herbarium Training event at the Integrated Laboratory of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The activity took place offline on Friday, September 9, 2022. This event was part of the Research and Scientific Division’s program and was specifically designed for KS Botani members. Approximately 30 participants attended the training, showing great enthusiasm.

The outcomes of this training were excellent. KS Botani members actively collected intact specimens around the UIN Sunan Kalijaga campus. In addition to enhancing their knowledge of herbarium creation and specimen documentation, participants explored various promising applications for the herbarium results. For instance, they could use the preserved specimens to create resin keychains, bracelets, and other marketable items. Overall, this initiative aimed to improve the biological skills of students and foster an entrepreneurial spirit for applying their knowledge in the future
